EXPRESSION OF INTEREST Independent Chairperson – Audit and Risk Committee
Carpentaria Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to serve in the role of Independent Chairperson on the Audit and Risk Committee.
The opportunity: The Audit and Risk Committee is a source of independent advice and objective insights and assurance to Carpentaria Shire Council regarding finance, governance, risk management and audit related matters. The Independent Chairperson is responsible for ensuring the Audit and Risk Committee meetings are run smoothly and the annual work plan is developed and executed. Remuneration: Current remuneration for the Independent Chairperson is $1,500 (excluding GST) per meeting, plus reasonable travel and accommodation costs. Successful candidates will be required to submit an invoice for each committee meeting attendance.
