Tony Perrett, Minister for Primary Industries, visited Normanton in February, meeting with station families and Council to discuss the major issues facing our region.
During the visit, the Minister saw firsthand the impacts flooding has on infrastructure and supply chains across the region, reinforcing the importance of strong and reliable infrastructure for regional communities.
Mayor Jack strongly advocated for the raising of the Norman River Bridge, highlighting the urgent need to reduce the severe impacts of annual flooding.
