Fallen Trees

Council wishes to advise residents of Normanton and Karumba that the following is the procedure for fallen trees in the community following Tropical Cyclone Imogen.
Some work has been undertaken since Monday following the damage caused by TC Imogen with Council clearing the roads and street and some work being undertaken by Bynoe and other members of the public to assist.
Council is not able to clear trees from private residences.
For Normanton
- Council is clearing the trees from the streets, footpaths, parks and public facilities and roadways
- Please contact Council on 4745 2200 and advise of any trees on footpaths that need to be cleared
- Bynoe is clearing trees from their residences and are contactable if people would like assistance with removal of trees from private residences (this will be at a cost to the private resident and worked out with Bynoe)
- Please contact Bynoe in relation to tress within your residence that you wish assistance with the cut up and removal
- Q-Build is clearing trees from the Queensland Housing residences
- Please contact the Q-Build Call Centre and log the assistance required to remove trees from your Queensland Housing Residence
For Karumba
- Council is clearing the trees from the streets, footpaths, parks and public facilities and roadways
- Please contact Council on 4745 2200 and advise of any trees on footpaths that need to be cleared
- Private residences will need to make private arrangements to have trees removed from their yards
- Please contact Council if you have cut trees up and they are left for collection on the footpath
- Q-Build is clearing trees from the Queensland Housing residences
- Please contact the Q-Build Call Centre and log the assistance required to remove trees from your Queensland Housing Residence
