Grant Finder Portal

Carpentaria Shire Council is partnering with Regional Development Australia (RDA) Townsville and North West Queensland to roll out its new Grant Finder portal.

Grant Finder is now live and available to Normanton and Karumba businesses, community organisations, not-for-profits and individuals.

It’s a free, customised grant funding filter linking the right people with the right grant opportunities, at the right time.

Mayor Jack Bawden said “it was the first time a service like this was being made available to the region and could be a gamechanger for those seeking funding”.

“As a regional community we do face some unique challenges but there are also so many exciting opportunities and great ideas that may just need that little helping hand to get off the ground,” he said.

“Grants have become a vital resource for business, community groups and not-for-profits and it can often be hard to know which grant is suitable and when it is available,” he said.

“Grant Finder has been set up to do all of the hard work for you by prioritizing your favourite grants, updating you on opening and closing dates and tracking your applications, to ultimately lead to more grant applications and greater success rates.”

RDA has launched the Grant Finder service across the Townsville to North-west Queensland Corridor, covering 15 Local Government Areas (LGAs), including Carpentaria, and opening a direct portal to thousands of grants worth around 70 billion dollars.

“Grants are an excellent source of funding to enable great ideas to become reality and we’re excited to see what great things our communities achieve with the support of Grant Finder,” RDA Chairman Frank Beveridge said.

Regional Development Australia (RDA) is a national network of Committees made up of local leaders who work with all levels of government, business and community groups to support the economic development of their regions.
