Current LDMG Status is Stand Down
The Carpentaria Shire Council budget and operational plan for 2025-2026 was adopted at a special meeting of Council on Thursday 19 June, 2025.
At the Ordinary Meeting of Council held yesterday, Wednesday 16 September 2020, the Council was presented with an update regarding the projects being undertaken in the areas of Water, Wastewater and Waste Management in the current financial year.
At the Ordinary Council meeting held yesterday, Wednesday 16 September 2020 the Council endorsed the reports associated with the four projects funded by the Department of State Development, Tourism and Innovation under the second phase of the Maturing the Infrastructure Pipeline Program (MIPP2).
At a Special Meeting held on 15 July 2020, the Carpentaria Shire Councillors adopted a budget that has a zero-percentage increase in rates and charges.
The Carpentaria Shire Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) met on Friday 21 August 2020 to discuss the impacts and progress concerning the coronavirus COVID-19.

Approved inspection program of mosquito breeding sites in March 2020 and this will run for 3 months until the end of May 2020.
