From time to time the Carpentaria Shire Council will engage with the community through the "Have your say" section of our website.

Legislation requires that Council consult with the community on a variety of topics and this is one means of being able to obtain comunity feedback on issues.

Please keep an eye on this section of the website for future engagements.

Carpentaria Shire Council is currently undertaking a community consultation process to receive feedback on the development of a Land Management Plan for Lot 2 on Crown Plan LS11.

As Trustee of the land, Council is required to submit a Land Management Plan. The Plan is relied upon when determining the sustainable use, development and management of Trust land for the benefit of the community. 

Council is now requesting feedback from the community. See below draft Land Management Plan for Lot 2 on Crown Plan LS11.

Feedback on the draft Land Mangement Plan is required by 15 December, 2023. Feedback can be provided by emailing council@carpentaria.qld.gov.au

Council wishes to receive comment from the community in relation to a planned upgrade in Landsborough Street in the vicinity of the Cenotaph.

Council received funding for Sculptures that will be added to the area at the Cenotaph along with the permanent fixture of the Fire Pit that was purchased a couple of years ago and this work provides an opportunity to carry out a full upgrade of the area, which will also include undercover parking in the centre and provide shade for the Anzac Day and Remembrance Day parades.
